Life is full of surprises.

While attending law school at night, I worked during the day as a legal secretary in the Los Angeles office of a reputable firm with a national presence across a variety of industries and practice areas, including estate planning. While originally thinking I wanted to pursue entertainment law once I graduated law school, I was also drawn to the law around trusts and estates, and my years assisting estate planning partners and their clients showed me this was really an area of law I enjoyed.  I passed the California Bar two weeks after my first son was born, and after those two life changing events, I surprised myself with the realization that estate planning was the way I wanted to use my law degree to contribute to my community.

I was fortunate to start my practice of law at a wonderful boutique estate planning firm, and then I was surprised with some other opportunities which allowed me to practice at larger firms, most recently at an international firm in their Private Client and Tax division which caters to ultra-high net worth clients. There I was recognized as a “Best Lawyers: Ones to Watch” in the Trusts and Estates and Tax Law practice areas two years in a row.  However, wanting the opportunity to help people regardless of the length and value of their balance sheet, I surprised myself again with the decision to open my own office to give me the opportunity to provide my services to my neighbors and extended community.

I understand that the prospect of contemplating the real and intimate issues involved in estate planning can be daunting and overwhelming for some, and, as a mom of two active boys, I am fully aware how limited spare time is for many. I embrace modern technology to make the experience as efficient as possible, and I strive to provide a caring environment for my clients, in which I break down the process to make it easy to understand and navigate, and help create a custom estate plan to suit everyone’s individualized needs. This is one area where I try to make sure no one has any surprises.

I reside in San Pedro with my husband and two sons. Thankfully, modern resources provide the means to work easily with any client within the state of California, and I am pleased to have served clients from San Diego to San Francisco, and anywhere in between.
